We are looking for a highly driven and motivated individual to work with the Laboratory team as a laboratory technician. The role involves working within a cross-functional team of microbiologists, genetics, agronomists, and bioinformatics.

Location: Davis, CA

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Wet lab sample processing, including manual and robot DNA isolation, library preparation and high-throughput sequencing machine operation
• Accurately create, organize, and maintain laboratory data
• Support the general laboratory management, including equipment maintenance, lab cleaning, sample storage, and suppliers/reagents stocks
• Follow GLP and security standards

Job competencies & Personal attributes:

• Professional qualification or degree in biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or equivalent areas
• 1-2 years postgraduate experience working as Laboratory Technician (experience with several lab techniques, including, but not limited to, pipetting, DNA isolation, PCR, and gel electrophoresis)
• Experience in high-throughput sequencing is a plus
• Good English communication skills, both written and oral
• Curious and creative in approaching technical challenges
• Organized and structured
• Team player
• Strong proactivity and problem-solving capabilities
• Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
